Office 2019/2021 Online Activation Guide

Before installing the purchased version of Office, it's important to uninstall all previous versions. This includes removing any pre-installed Office 365 that may come with a new PC.

Follow these steps to activate your new Office license:

  1. Open your web browser and go to the specified address. Click on the blue "Get started" button.
  2. Log in to your Microsoft account. Enter your email address and click "Next."
  3. Enter your password and click "Sign in."
  4. Enter the product key you received with your purchase and click "Next."
  5. Confirm your product key, select your preferred language, and click "Redeem."
  6. Click "Download" to download the Office installation file.
  7. Open the "Downloads" folder (or the folder where the file was saved). Double-click on the "OfficeSetup" file to start the installation.
  8. When prompted, allow the application to make changes to your device by clicking "Yes."
  9. Wait for Office to install. Once completed, you’ll see the message "You're all set!" Click "Close."

Activating Your Microsoft Office License

  1. Click the "Start" button and type "Word" into the search field. Click on the "Word" application that appears.
  2. A window will open asking you to enter the product key. Enter the key and click "Activate Office."
  3. Select "I want to activate the software over the Internet" and click "Next."
  4. Wait for Office to activate. When activation is complete, you’ll see a message confirming that Office was successfully activated. Click "Close."
  5. In the Word application, click on "Account" in the bottom left corner to verify that the product is activated.
